Bring your wall, floor and feature tiles together

Start with your main tile. Choose a colour and finish that sets the mood, then compare it with your vanity, benchtop and tapware. Light neutrals can feel airy, earthy tones add warmth, and richer colours create a more expressive space.

Choose floor tiles for the way the room works. Ask about suitable slip resistance, maintenance and how tile size will work with the shower falls and drain. A wall tile is not automatically suitable for the floor.

Give a feature room to shine. A vanity splashback, bath wall or shower niche can create impact without covering every surface. Explore mosaic tiles or see The Feature Tile Effect for ideas on balancing a feature with quieter main tiles.

Plan the finishing details early

Grout colour changes how strongly the tile pattern reads. Compare samples alongside your tiles, then coordinate suitable silicone and visible drain finishes. Browse our grouts, silicones and installation products and drains and floor wastes with your installer’s requirements in mind.

Common bathroom tile questions

Can I use the same tile on walls and floors?

Often you can, if the product is suitable for both surfaces. Confirm floor and wet-area suitability before ordering, especially when considering decorative or ceramic wall tiles.

How do I choose tiles for a small bathroom?

Compare the room’s light, layout and tile proportions. A coordinated palette can create continuity, while one feature area adds personality. Tile size should also work with the room dimensions and shower falls.

What should I bring to a design consultation?

Bring your plans or measurements, inspiration photos and any cabinetry, benchtop or paint samples. Photos of the existing room help us understand the light and layout too.
